ANSWER: This TV commercial is so successful and funny because it presents one of the most commons with English pronunciation: "s" sound and "th" sound. If you pronunce "th" as "s" you will make the same mistake the coastguard did. The verb "to sink" (hundirse) has a "s" sound. The verb "to think" (pensar) has a "th" sound. The ship/ boat "is sinking", that's what the voice on the radio says but the coastguard understands "thinking"... that's why he answers "what are you thinking about?" (en que estan pensando?) Imagine!! A boat is sinking, the captain is asking for help and the coastguard responds to him what are you thinking about?" HILARIOUS!!
Since Nati and Seba were very closed to the correct answer, each of them gets 1 credit ;)
